Job Description/Responsibilities

● Leading and managing engineering team, including software developers, engineers, and technical specialists, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative technology solutions. ● Setting the strategic direction and technical vision for technology platforms and products, in alignment with the company's business objectives and growth targets. ● Overseeing the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. ● Collaborating with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs and expectations. ● Providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. ● Driving best practices in software engineering, including coding standards, architecture design, code reviews, testing methodologies, and deployment processes. ● Managing engineering resources, budgets, and timelines effectively to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. ● Monitoring and evaluating emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. ● Establishing and maintaining relationships with external partners, vendors, and technology providers to leverage external expertise and resources as needed.

Job Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. ● 5+ years working as a backend / full stack developer ● Proven track record of leadership and achievement in software engineering roles, with at least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ● Deep technical expertise in software development methodologies, programming languages, frameworks, and tools, with hands-on experience in full-stack development. ● All-around team player who is self-motivated and inventive. ● Passion for code craftsmanship. ● Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects. ● Strong business acumen and understanding of the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
