Job Description/Responsibilities

● Provide strategic legal guidance on investment transactions, regulatory compliance, and operational matters. ● Lead and manage the legal team, ensuring effective contract management, due diligence, and negotiation. ● Collaborate with C-level executives to develop and implement business strategies. ● Ensure compliance with local and international investment laws, regulations, and industry standards. ● Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, external counsel, and business partners. ● Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and provide expert advice. ● Oversee the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. ● Manage and mitigate legal risks, ensuring minimal exposure to the firm. ● Performing other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

● Second-Class Upper (2:1) degree in Law from a reputable university. ● At least 5-7 years of experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and operations within investment or financial services firms. ● Professional certifications are an added advantage ● Proven experience in contracts, legal advisory, and due diligence. ● Strong understanding of local and international investment laws. ● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. ● Leadership experience in managing teams. ● Ability to work closely with C-level executives. ● Strategic thinking, highly organized, with attention to detail. ● Strategic thinker with ability to navigate complex legal and operational matters. ● Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven. ● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
